About Me

From: Anna, Ohio

Married to Brian. We had our first baby in November 2009. I have two sisters, two brothers and seven nieces and nephews.

"About My Business"

I'd rather be:

In Montego Bay, Jamaica!

Faves:

I love to run, scrapbook, coach JV basketball and hang out at the pool with my sisters and their kids.

I most admire:

My mom. She is an amazing woman and an awesome role model.

Before Mary Kay:

I was a full-time college student, playing basketball, working part time at a hospital and planning my wedding!

I wanted the extra money to:

Help pay for college and my wedding. I wanted to earn $50 per week devoting five hours a week to my Mary Kay business.

Why Mary Kay rocks:

The support that your sister Independent Beauty Consultants give you is unbelievable. You always have someone cheering you on, not only in your Mary Kay business but also in your personal life.

"Someone is always cheering you on."

What Mary Kay means to me:

Relationships. It's amazing how many people you meet and the friendships that you form.

Who I made a believer:

My dad. When I told him I was going to start my business, I think he thought I was crazy. Now he's my biggest promoter. He's so proud of his little girl.

"What a Change"

My three top-selling products are:

TimeWise® 3-In-1 Cleanser, TimeWise® Age-Fighting Moisturizer and TimeWise® Microdermabrasion Set.

My business is recession-proof because:

I have found that no matter how little money someone might have, they still want something to make them feel good, even if it's just a lipstick. And the Mary Kay opportunity gives women a way to make extra money, support their families or just have a little fun when times are tough.

What's changed most for me:

I used to have to miss family events and birthdays because I had to work. Now I never miss anything! I LOVE that about my life.

My advice to someone considering the opportunity:

Just try it! If you always let fear hold you back in life, you will get nowhere.
