From: Charlotte, NC
I'm married and have a three-year-old son, Christopher.
My fave things:
I love nature and going to the mountains for vacation. I also like to read inspirational books, go to church and spend time with my husband and son.
Before starting my Mary Kay business:
I was pregnant, and my husband and I were living with my sister. I dreamed of becoming independent and having my very own house for my family.
How I learned about Mary Kay:
It was a huge coincidence. I was home because I overslept, and an Independent Beauty Consultant came to drop off products for my sister.
What my Mary Kay family means to me:
My parents are deceased. I miss my parents very much, but with Mary Kay, I found a great family and opportunity to grow as a complete human being.
What I like most about my Mary Kay business:
My priorities are in order: God first, family second and career third.
Why I knew I'd succeed:
The Independent Beauty Consultant told me that the only thing I needed to have was the desire to grow and the willingness to learn, and I had both. During my first week I did really well – and I realized I could do it.
"With Mary Kay, I found a great family."
How I've changed:
I discovered the giant within me – my confidence, self-esteem and all my life in general has changed for the better.
My advice to someone considering a Mary Kay business:
You have a lot to gain. In life, the person who doesn't risk doesn't win. If you don't take the risk for fear of failure, you'll never know the excitement of victory.
Why Mary Kay rocks:
Mary Kay is great because its goal is to enrich women's lives, giving us the opportunity of having a different lifestyle. It gives us many things that money can't buy.
My biggest supporters:
My husband and my son are my greatest supporters and also my greatest commitment.
