It's not about building a business. It's about building a life.

About Me:

From: Marlborough, Mass.

Married to Ian. One daughter, Rochelle, and two sons, Collin and Reese. Bailey, the golden retriever, and Steeler, the border collie, are also part of the family.

I'd rather be:

Exploring in Europe!

Faves:

Spending time with friends and family, watching movies, reading inspirational books, biking and skiing.

Why does Mary Kay rock?

I have the flexibility to have and be anything I want. There is no ceiling to my success! There's nothing better than making a difference for others while changing your own life in the process.

My customers' faves:

Peach Satin Hands® Pampering Set, TimeWise® Miracle Set®, Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover, Satin Lips® Set.

How I heard about Mary Kay:

I talked with an old friend on the phone and heard how much her life had changed because of Mary Kay. I was skeptical, of course. I didn't think I could build my business big enough that I could actually quit my corporate job, even though I was tired of the rat race and wanted something more.

Why I decided to sell Mary Kay:

The only risk I had to take was on myself. And I realized I was worth it.

"I was worth it."

"Take a Chance on Yourself"

"Giving Back"

My fave product:

TimeWise® Miracle Set®.

Independent Beauty Consultant tip:

I learned by doing, and I never really feel like I'm selling. I'm teaching women how to use the products I've grown to love. Just remember – finding new customers has to be a consistent effort. It's surprising how strangers can easily become our customers, friends and sometimes team members.

Accomplishments/Strengths:

  • Sense of purpose. Unlike climbing the corporate ladder, Mary Kay is about how I can help other women grow to success. I found a purpose greater than me in Mary Kay.
  • Strong work ethic
  • Willingness to look for the best in people
